Scott Turnage was elected to the City Council in May 2006 and re-elected five times. He served as Mayor Pro Tem 2008-2010. He previously served on the Council from 2002-2004 and is a former member of the Parks Board and the Planning & Zoning Commission.
A Northeast Tarrant County native, he is a 29 year resident of North Richland Hills. Mr. Turnage graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982, worked as a bank executive for many years and in 2000 co-founded Uretek ICR, a contracting firm specializing in concrete lifting and stabilization.
Mr. Turnage has two grown children, the youngest of which also attends the University of Texas. Mr. Turnage has served on the boards of several local charities and is a longtime board member of SafeHaven of Tarrant County, where he previously served as chairman.
