Update December 14:
Cold weather has caused some delays for the Davis crossing work. In order for new asphalt to be placed on the roadway, temperatures need to be 58 degrees and rising. Contractors have estimated a new completion date of December 20.
Original Post November 22:
Motorists can expect various lane closures on Davis Boulevard between Mid Cities Boulevard and Main Street starting Monday, November 27 for TEXRail improvements. The work will include laying new pavement on both sides of the railroad tracks, which will make for a smoother crossing. They will also be replacing curbs and gutters and installing a new median. One lane will be closed in each direction, with a second lane closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as needed. The work is expected to be completed by December 14. Please slow down and watch for workers when traveling in this area.
Similar improvements at the Rufe Snow Drive crossing are tentatively scheduled to begin on December 4. Find more information about TEXRail construction at www.texrail.com.
