Formerly known as the One Hundred Acre Park, Cross Timbers Park was purchased in 1993 and dedicated in 2001. Cross Timbers Park is a multi-purpose park that offers a preserved section of the Cross Timbers forest and prairie along with sports facilities, picnic pavilions, a playground and both hard and soft surface walking trails. It is also the home to Adventure World Playground located on Starnes Road directly across from North Ridge Elementary school. Whether you enjoy taking a walk through the woods and grasses, a picnic in the shade of native oaks,  or playing a game of baseball on one of four high quality ball fields, Cross Timbers Park can provide hours of fun and exploration for all ages.
