Fossil Creek

Being one of the first parks developed by the City, Fossil Creek Park includes 58.5 acres of heavily treed parkland located in the southwest corner of North Richland Hills and is bisected by Big Fossil Creek. This dual-purpose park serves both the softball enthusiast and the nature lover. The softball enthusiast is served by three neatly maintained, lighted ball fields and concession facilities located on the west side of the park while the nature lover is treated to a large riparian forest stand that straddles the Big Fossil Creek. The west side of the forest includes a soft-surface trail that meanders through a large group of giant bur oaks, elms and pecans. The park east of Big Fossil Creek offers opportunities for exploration through dense forest vegetation. Whether your interests are softball or nature, Fossil Creek Park is just a short walk or drive away for year-round enjoyment.
