The purpose of this position is to maintain the filing system of the Municipal Court by preparing, maintaining and updating various records. Research and verify information as requested. Log the location of records into the computer system, indicate record's storage location, organize and arrange cases in boxes before moving to the City’s record storage facility. Provide clerical support and assist department staff in the completion of their duties and responsibilities by answering the telephone; referring citizen and client questions/complaints to appropriate department or staff member for resolution; and entering citations and other items in the Municipal Court computer system.

This is accomplished by preparing courts for play daily, maintaining windscreens, blowing and vacuuming leaves from courts, picking up trash, replacing light bulbs, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, painting, minor repairs on facilities, collecting and removing trash and recyclable materials and maintaining the interior and exterior of facilities.
