Clean Air Action Day is observed annually on the first Friday of summer. Commit to do one extra thing for clean air. Carpool, combine trips, pursue home energy efficiency projects, maintain your vehicle, ride your bike, take transit or try any of the other clean air actions listed on the Air North Texas website.

NRH Amateur Radio Club Field Day

The North Richland Hills Office of Emergency Management invites area residents to the NRH Amateur Radio Club’s annual Field Day event on June 22 and 23, 2013. The event will include demonstrations of amateur (ham) radio capabilities, the newest digital and satellite capabilities, voice communications and even historical Morse Code. Activities will be held at the NRH Fire Training Center. Demonstrations will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday and continue through 1 p.m. on Sunday. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
