June is Adopt A Cat Month! To celebrate, we are offering half price adoptions for cats and kittens in June.

RABIES NOTICE:
  
The Texas Department of State Health Services confirmed on May 6, 2015 that a deceased skunk found in the 7100 block of Douglas Lane tested positive for rabies. Learn more about rabies here. 

We've Moved
Please visit us at our new facility at 7301 Iron Horse Boulevard, at the corner of Iron Horse Boulevard and Dick Fisher Drive North. 

Stock the Pantry: Help us stock the pantry at our new center. Please consider donating one of the following items: 

  • Non clumping cat litter; 
  • Dry pet food - all stages - adult, kitten and puppy (brown kibble only please);
  • Canned pet food (all stages);
  • Kitten milk replacement with and without colostrum - powder form;
  • Puppy milk replacement with and without colostrum - powder form;
  • Cat toys;
  • Dog toys (no rawhides);
  • Electric pet grooming clippers;
  • Pet shampoo (all stages but no flea and tick shampoos);
  • Dawn dish soap (original blue);
  • Baby wipes (hypoallergenic and fragrance free).

Center Operations

The North Richland Hills Animal Adoption & Rescue Center (AARC) is owned and operated by the City of North Richland Hills with support from our community. AARC exists to help protect the health, safety and welfare of both people and animals in the community.

Goal
Our goal is to provide services to the public promptly and with professional precision tempered with compassion for those animals that can not speak for themselves. Our staff has been recognized both at the state and national level for outstanding excellence in both programs and performance of duties.
