Powers and Duties	The Corporation is governed by the Health Facilities Development Act, V.T.C.A., Health & Safety Code, Chapter 221, and shall have all the powers set forth and conferred in the Act, and in other applicable laws. The purpose of the corporation is to acquire, construct, provide, improve, finance and refinance any "health facility" as such term is defined in the Act, which is found by the board of directors of the corporation to be required, necessary or convenient for health care, research and education, to assist the maintenance of the public health and welfare.
