Powers and Duties	To promote the beautification of the City by making recommendations to the City Council for promoting civic involvement in beautification of the City through programs and activities that increase community awareness of beautification issues, provide opportunities for community education relating to beautification issues, include special community wide events relating to beautification issues, make recommendations on ordinances, policies, and landscape plans on major projects on city property relative to beautification; and include award nominations and grant applications.Commission establishes its own rules and elects its officers.
Number of Members	Seven members and one alternate.
Term	Two Year Terms. Those persons appointed to odd numbered places, terms expire in June of odd numbered years, and those persons appointed to even numbered places, terms expire in June of even numbered years.
Meetings	Third Tuesday of each month at 7:15 p.m. (Environmental Service Center).
Method of Appointment	Council person serving in particular place responsible for nominating person to serve in the corresponding place on the Commission. Nomination subject to majority approval of City Council.
Qualifications	Resident of the City.
