The City Secretary is the local registrar for birth and death records in North
Richland Hills. In addition to North Richland Hills birth records the City
Secretary's Office can also issue birth records for those persons who were born
in the State of Texas from 1926 to present.
A certified copy of a birth certificate is an abstract of information (child's
name, date of birth, county of birth, father's full name and mother's full
maiden name, date filed by State and State file number) from the original birth
certificate. Each certified copy will be stamped with the North Richland Hills
city seal. The raised seal on the certified copy is mandatory for the
following: applying for a passport, enrolling children in school, applying for
a driver's license or Texas state identification card, social security
benefits, employment and non-international travel (when passport is not
required).
The fees for certified copies of birth and death records are:

Issuance of birth records are handled in person at 7301 N.E. Loop 820, North
Richland Hills, TX, 76180 or by mail provided an original application, with
original signature and payment is received by the City Secretary's Office.

At no time will information regarding birth or death records be given without
receipt of proper application.
The City Secretary's Office has a summary index of birth and death records. The
summary index contains the recipient's name, date of birth or death and the
gender. This information can be viewed at 7301 N.E. Loop 820, North Richland
