Household Hazardous Waste Disposal


North Richland Hills residents can take household hazardous waste to the Environmental Collection Center at 6400 Bridge St., Ft. Worth. Residents mush present a voucher for disposal of household hazardous waste, which is available from the Environmental Resources Office in the Neighborhood Services Department at 7200-C Dick Fisher Dr. S. Proof of residency is required. For further information about disposal of household hazardous waste, please call the Environmental Collection Center at 817-871-5276 or check out their website.

Items Accepted:
household batteries used motor oil pool chemicals
car batteries used antifreeze varnish/lacquer, etc.
paint product oil filters other household chemicals
household cleaners other automotive fluids fluorescent light tubes
pesticides/herbicides craft/hobby supplies  
Items Prohibited:
business or commercial waste needles or other bio-medical waste containers larger than 5 gallons
ammunition, explosive or shock sensitive materials common recyclables (aluminum or plastic) smoke detectors or other radioactive materials
used tires    
Paint, used oil and filters, antifreeze, batteries, and fluorescent light tubes will all be recycled!
