Air Quality Program
NRH has fourteen Air Pollution Alert signs that are strategically placed around the City to notify citizens of an "Air Pollution Watch." The red Air Pollution Alert symbol will be displayed for an Air Pollution Watch. Citizens can sign up for email notification of high ozone levels occurring in the D/FW area here. You can also check on the status here.

Enviro Camp
A three day environmental camp for children in the 3rd, 4th or 5th grade. The camp is held at the Environmental Study Center across from Haltom High School. At this camp learning comes "naturally".

Great American Cleanup
Litter clean up of public lands. Cleanup supplies provided to registered volunteers. Call 817-427-6651 for more information.

Keep NRH Beautiful Programs

Texas Recycles Day
On November 15 each year Texas will celebrate Texas Recycles Day by holding an event that will help spread the word about recycling.

Trash Bash (formerly known as the Trinity River Awareness Day).
Each September volunteers are needed to help clean up litter along the Trinity River and its tributaries. Trash Bash has become an annual opportunity for volunteers to learn about the recreational aspects and other valuable assets of the Trinity River. To participate in this cleanup, please call 817 427-6651.
