The Finance Department manages all the accounting, accounts payable/receivable,
purchasing, utility billing and the Capital Asset Management Program. The
department is responsible for the investment of City funds in accordance with
the Public Funds Investment Act and also administers the City's contract with
Southwest General Services for ambulance billing.
For the 23rd consecutive year, the City of North Richland Hills Finance
Department has been recognized with the "Certificate of Achievement for
Excellence in Financial Reporting" from the Government Finance Officers
Association (GFOA). This is a national award recognizing conformance with the
highest standards for preparation of state and local government financial
reports. The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting
Program encourages all government units to prepare and publish an easily
readable and understandable Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
covering all funds and financial transactions of the government during the
fiscal year. The GFOA believes governments have a special responsibility to
provide the public with a fair presentation of their financial affairs.
The Finance Department is located in City Hall near the Utility Customer
Service Office. For more information about the Finance Department or to view
