Recreation Attendant (08-068-091708P) Department: Parks and Recreation Salary: $9.87/hr Opening Date: 9/17/2008 12:00:00 AM Closing Date: Open Until Filled Job Summary: This position operates under the general supervision of the Recreation Center Manager. Incumbent performs responsible work related to recreation programming. Work is reviewed for the achievement of desired results and adherence to established policies and procedures. Assists in the registration of participants in recreational classes, athletics, and activities. Provide customer service on the telephone and in person which will include general athletic questions. Supervise the issuance, use, care and maintenance of recreation supplies and equipment (which may require basic tools). REQUIRES: No experience is required. Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a valid Texas Class C drivers license with a good driving record over the last three years.
School Crossing Guard (08-062-082008P) Department: Police Salary: $9.87/hr Opening Date: 8/20/2008 12:00:00 AM Closing Date: Open Until Filled Job Summary: This is a responsible position that directs traffic in school crossing zones for the protection of children going to and leaving from a public or private primary or secondary school. Work is performed under the direction of the Uniform Patrol Captain. No experience required. Typical work schedule will be 15 hours per week during the regularly scheduled school year.

This position does not provide direction to other employees. REQUIRES: High school diploma or equivalent; six months experience in janitorial work, building maintenance, or related field; and a valid Texas class C drivers license with a good driving record over the last three years. Typical schedule: Monday-Friday 5-9pm and Saturday 5-10pm.
Tennis Instructor I (08-035-040208P) Department: Parks and Recreation Salary: $9.87/hr Opening Date: 4/2/2008 12:00:00 AM Closing Date: Open Until Filled Job Summary: Assist in the teaching of junior and adult tennis lessons; implement tennis lesson plans for all levels; assist in the stringing and repair of tennis racquets; assist in the direction of tennis tournaments; and perform the duties of the Pro Shop. REQUIRES: Must have a tennis background with experience on the high school and/or college competitive level. Must be sixteen years of age or older. Employees eighteen years of age or older must have a valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record over the last three years. Incumbent will also perform Pro Shop Staff duties.
