JoAnn Johnson Trail

Description:

This is a 1.9 mile, 10-foot wide multi-purpose trail located within the TXU Easement between Suncrest Court and Boulevard 26.

The City Council officially named this trail in honor of former City Councilwoman JoAnn Johnson. Mrs. Johnson retired from the City Council in 2005 after serving for more that 15 years. At the time of her retirement, she was the City's longest serving Council Member. Mrs. Johnson has left an indelible mark on the City through her efforts, vision and foresight. During her tenure on the Council, she supported the development of the City's park and trail system and the revitalization and preservation of older parts of the community, including the Boulevard 26 area. She also worked to preserve the City's rich history and spearheaded the effort to publish the City's first history book.
