2010 Artsploration Classes

Registration is NOW OPEN for 2010 Artsploration Classes!
During the summer months, the Cultural Arts Division offers a wide variety of programs to a wide variety of ages in its Artsploration series. 2010’s Artsploration line-up is nothing short of spectacular with something for everyone with art offerings for ages 18 months to 100 years and up! Please come by the North Richland Hills Recreation Center, located at 6720 NE Loop 820, to register today! (Some classes have limited registration numbers.) Artsploration Exploration Day
Saturday, May 1 from 9:30-12:00 at the NRH Recreation Center, 6720 NE Loop 820
Come and spend the morning getting to know our 2010 Artsploration instructors and watch while they create demos of pieces that will be made in class or look at past student work created in the very same classes we are offering this summer. You may even get to see some of the work they have created professionally. We want you to explore the different offerings and find the right Artploration offering for you...plus as an added bonus if you register for any Artsploration classes, camps, or workshops at the NRH Recreation Center between 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., you will receive ...$5 off every Artsploration registration.

Art in Public Spaces Program
By integrating art into daily life, the City of North Richland Hills Art in Public Spaces Program beautifies public areas, improve our quality of life and creates a distinctive identity for our community. Since 2002 the City has commissioned 14 original artworks, representing diverse media and materials, for residents and visitors like to enjoy. Signal Art Program

By integrating art into daily life, the program beautifies public areas, improves our quality of life and creates a distinctive for our community. In an effort to further enhance the public art program, the Signal Art Program was implemented in 2007-2008. The program commissioned artists to design 12 original artwork for traffic signal boxes throughout the City.

Some of the various pieces include an astronaut, a cowgirl jumping over the moon, and a horned toad with a little bit of Texas pride. So be on the look out, you never know what you might at the next NRH intersection.
