In order to expedite the process of obtaining an accident report, the North Richland Hills Police
Department is pleased to announce a new online process for obtaining copies of accident reports.
By employing cutting edge technology provided by PoliceReports.US, LLC, citizens and insurers can
now access reports for accidents that were investigated by the North Richland Hills Police Department
from any computer with internet access, eliminating the need to travel to the Police Department, make
calls or mail in a request. While North Richland Hills accident reports will still be available from
the Police Department's Records Section, we are pleased to be able to offer to the public the convenience
of using this new, user-friendly, online method.
Beginning March 29, 2007, accident reports generated by the North Richland Hills Police Department on
or after March 1, 2007, can be accessed through the following site: http://nrichlandhillstx.policereports.us/
To search for a report, enter the report number or date of accident and the name of one of the drivers. The
report then can be viewed and printed immediately, at home or at your office. Should a citizen require
an accident report for an accident which occurred prior to March 1, 2007, they can call the North Richland Hills
Police Department Records Section at (817)427-7000 during business hours, Monday through Friday, from 6am to 6pm. The
report can be uploaded to PoliceReports.US and be available for online access within a matter of minutes.
Because of this online feature is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, members of the public should expend
less time and effort to obtain the accident report they need. Reports for accidents that occurred on weekends
or holidays, should be available online on the second business day following the weekend or holiday.
Electronic distribution of accident report via the web will allow the Police Department to more efficient while providing
a higher level of customer service. Citizens will be able to obtain reports online (usually within 24 hours of the accident)
instead of waiting in line. The nominal fee for this service is $6.00 (the same as in the office) and is payable by
major credit or debit card.
