Achievement of Excellence in Procurement
The National Purchasing Institute established a program in 1995 designed to recognize organizational excellence in public procurement. The Achievement of Excellence in Procurement® is awarded annually. This prestigious award is earned by those organizations that demonstrate excellence by obtaining a high score based on standardized criteria. The criteria are designed to measure innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement, and leadership attributes of the procurement organization. In 2010 the City of North Richland Hills Purchasing Division earned the annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award. North Richland Hills was 1 of only 28 government agencies in Texas and 1 of only 56 Cities in the United States to receive this award.
