The Support Services Department is lead by the following team of employees (pictured from left to right): Rick Hulme, Ken Raney, Tim Doyle and Thomas Powell. Thomas Powell - Support Services Director
Thomas has worked in the Support Services Department since 1987 as superintendent, assistant director, and director. His responsibilities include both fleet and facility operations. During his tenure, the City fleet has doubled in size and numerous City facilities have been renovated or constructed. Staying current with energy efficiency and new technologies is one of the key goals for the department.

Tim Doyle - Equipment Services Superintendent
Tim began his career with the City in 1988 as a mechanic and worked his way up to the shop supervisor and then on to Equipment Services Superintendent. He is responsible for the overall management of Equipment Services which includes coordinating maintenance, procurement, and disposal of vehicles and equipment. Tim also oversees Support Services operations in the absence of the department director.

Rick Hulme - Building Services Superintendent
Rick has been the Building Services Superintendent since 2005. He has over 27 years of experience in the HVAC industry, including three years of operating his own HVAC business. Throughout his career, he has performed the duties of general manager at an HVAC company, HVAC technician for the City of North Richland Hills, and supervisor for the Keller Independent School District. His current responsibilities with the City include managing the facility and custodial operations as well as the energy management systems. Rick's goals are to implement energy conservation programs, to maximize the life and efficiency of equipment, and to ensure that all facilities are kept clean, sanitized, comfortable, and safe for the public and City staff.

Ken Raney - Project Manager
Ken joined the City in 2000 as Project Manager. His 23 years of experience as a project manager have given him extensive knowledge of facility maintenance and construction. He is responsible for capital improvement projects which include renovations, expansions, and HVAC replacement. From writing the specifications for each project to overseeing the contractors, he ensures the finished project meets all requirements and the customer is satisfied.
