Equipment Services

Equipment Services is responsible for the maintenance and management of City owned vehicles and equipment. The staff consists of ten employees, including six mechanics. All mechanics are ASE Certified, with four holding Master Mechanic Certification. Other certifications include Forklift Operator Safety, LPG Service/Install, Texas State Vehicle Inspection license and one Notary Public.

The Equipment/Fleet Maintenance Program provides scheduled preventative maintenance service and repairs for approximately 300 vehicles and other pieces of equipment. Staff is available 24 hrs per day, seven days a week to meet emergency needs. The facility has ten working bays with five automotive lifts and a parts warehouse.

Equipment Services is also responsible for writing the bid specifications and assisting Purchasing in the procurement of vehicles and equipment for the City.
