Drainage Fee To fund drainage projects that reduce major flood plains and remove homes from flood hazard zones. Based on residential lot's zoning and size/use of the property. Voluntary Donation Optional $1.50 charge that is designated to the following areas:
Bills are sent out once a month in eight (8) cycles. The bill date will fall on a Tuesday or Friday depending on what area of town you live in. The bill is due 20 calendar days after the bill date (25 days for senior citizens.) A late charge of 10% will be applied to all accounts that become delinquent. The minimum charge for residential accounts is $2.50 and $15.00 for commercial customers. Senior citizens are exempt from penalties. How To Pay Your Bill Bills can be paid online, by telephone, by mail, bank draft, in person at the Customer Service counter, or in the night deposit box located at the drive-through window. Paying Online Online Payment is a convenient and secure method for reviewing your account history and paying your monthly utility bill. The online payment system is available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. To pay your bill online go to https://onlineservices.nrhtx.com. Have your account number and MasterCard or Visa number handy. Paying by Telephone With any touchtone telephone you can access your account details and make secure payments. The telephone payment system is available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. To pay your bill by telephone call 817-427-6318 and follow the prompts. Have your account number and MasterCard or Visa number handy. Paying By Mail Use the envelope included with your water bill. To ensure that you get credit for your payment please enclose the bottom portion of your bill along with a payment in the form of a personal check or money order. Paying at Drive-Through Night Drop After Hours: Please Do Not Put Cash in the Night Drop. If paying by check, money order, cashier's check or certified check, please note the customer's name, address and/or water account number. All payments made in the night drop must be in an envelope. Bank Draft Bank drafting provides the ability to have your utility payment transferred directly from your bank account each month. You will still receive a regular bill with a label of "Bank Draft". The payment drafts on the due date of the bill. You can stop the payment from drafting by contacting our office a minimum of two days before the due date. Items Returned for Insufficient Funds There will be a $ 25.00 fee charged for handling of all items returned for insufficient funds, such as checks, bank drafts, and credit card transactions. In this situation, the bill and fee must be paid only by cash, certified check, cashier's check or money order. What is Budget Billing/Bill Averaging? It is a free service the City offers its customers to level the peaks and valleys that come with paying utility bills. The City averages twelve months of billing for a customer to provide level payments throughout the year. How do I sign up? If you meet the below criteria, call NRH Utility Customer Service.
What if a customer no longer wants to continue this service? Upon contacting our office we can remove you immediately and any deferred balance will apply toward the next billing.
