Following is information we believe will answer the majority of questions you may have about establishing new water and sewer services in the City of North Richland Hills. Application for Residential Water Service

Please complete the upper portion of our application for service, date, and sign the form and return along with your payment of $65.00. If you wish for your personal information to remain private, please initial at the bottom of the form. New applicants must return the application in person in our office, along with a state issued picture ID for identity verification purposes. For current customers who are activating additional services, your applications may be returned by mail with deposit payment, dropped off at the night drop with your deposit payment in the form of a check or money order, or faxed to us (817-427-6202) along with our credit card
authorization form and copy of picture ID. Please allow 24 hours after processing of application and remittance for water service to be restored. Applications are processed Monday through Friday only.
Garbage and recycling collection is provided by Duncan Disposal and will be established
in conjunction with your new water service. Recycle bins may be picked up at
the Utility Customer Service Office at City Hall at your convenience. For more

the menu on the left side of this page.
Turning your water on
To avoid flooding, the customer is required to be at the service location at
the time the water is turned on in the home or building. If no one is home the
meter will be set and the customer must turn the water on. If a service person
has to return to start the water, there will be an additional service charge.
The customer is responsible for any meter damages caused by attempting to turn
on the water.

Department at 817-427-6440 Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
If You Are a New Customer
When you receive your first water bill, please take a moment to make certain
the information is correct. If changes are needed, please contact us at
427-6200. As always, if you have any questions about your bill or your service,
be sure to call.
If You Are Transferring Within The City
- Call in advance of your move so that we can continue your water service without interruption.
- Be prepared to provide your water account number or your present address, your new address and your service request dates. Service can be on at both addresses for no more than five (5) days. A $10.00 charge for transferring the service will be included on your first bill at the new address.
- Tell our representative you want to stop service at your old address by calling us at 817-427-6200.
- Be prepared to give your account number, forwarding address, city and zip code. The water deposit you have on file will be credited to your final bill and the remaining balance will be forwarded to you.
