Mike Curtis oversees the city's development services, including the Public Works Department and the Planning & Development Department. Public Works includes engineering, streets, drainage, traffic, water and wastewater. He also oversees the city's fleet and facilities departments.
Mr. Curtis is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He has a bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master's in business administration from the University of Dallas. He is a member of the Institute of Transportation (ITE), Texas Water Utilities Association and American Public Works Association (APWA).
Mr. Curtis joined the City of North Richland Hills in 1992 as a staff engineer. He was promoted to capital projects coordinator, assistant director of public works and director of public works before being named as managing director of development services in 2008.
