Veterans Monument at Liberty Park

Liberty Park is a neighborhood park located at the corner of Holiday Lane and Liberty Way. The park includes a 21-foot Veterans Monument sculpted by San Antonio Artist Donna Dobberfuhl. The words, “Hope, Sacrifice and Strength,” are inscribed on the monument which symbolizes the spirit, sacrifice and commitment of U.S. Veterans and serves as an enduring reminder of the values and ideas we hold to be sacred: Liberty, Democracy and Freedom. The plaza area, landscaping and benches complement the Veterans Monument, allowing for quiet reflection and gratitude of the sacrifices made by our military men and women. The park also includes a picnic pavilion that can accommodate large gatherings and a colorful playground for all to enjoy.
