Garage Sale Permits

Single Family Garage Sales
One garage sale is allowed per residential address every six months. The garage sale cannot be held for longer than two days. The permit costs $6.00 and can be obtained online or in person at the Planning & Inspections Department at City Hall, 7301 NE Loop 820, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Neighborhood Garage Sales
A homeowner's association may organize a neighborhood garage sale, or in areas without homeowner's association 6 or more residents can join together for a neighborhood sale. Neighborhoods are allowed one group sale per year. The permit costs $30.00 and can be obtained online or in person at the Planning & Inspections Department at City Hall, 7301 NE Loop 820, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. • Homeowners Association>
  You will need to provide the name of your HOA, the name of your HOA President and the addresses of all participants.
  
  
• Subdivision (without homeowners association)
  You will need to provide the name of your subdivision and the name and addresses of all participants.

Properties other than residential (commercial, churches, schools, apartments) cannot hold a garage sale but can apply for a special event permit for a sale or event being held at the facility.
