Have you noticed construction around town and wondered what is being built? Here are some of the major construction projects underway in our community:
Bursey Road and Smithfield: Pulte Homes is developing The Reserve at Forest Glenn on 29 acres at the northeast corner of Bursey Road and Smithfield. The development will include 74 residential lots.
North Tarrant Parkway at Precinct Line Road: NewQuest Commercial is developing 27 acres at the southwest corner of Precinct Line and North Tarrant Parkway. The development will be anchored by Kroger Marketplace and will include Whataburger, Chick-fil-A, Wendy's, Chef Blythe's Southern Bistro, Green Tea House (sushi and hibachi restaurant), LA Fitness, Super Cuts, Legacy Nails, GNC, and CVS Pharmacy. Kroger Marketplace is now open!
Davis Boulevard, north of North Tarrant Parkway: Trinity Partners has begun construction on a 10 acre commercial retail development in the 8500 block of Davis Boulevard, across from the Target shopping center. The development will be anchored by an ALDI grocery store and will also include Capital One Bank, Jason's Express, McDonald's, AutoZone and AT&T store. Aldi and Capital One are now open!
Rufe Snow Drive at Loop 820: Chipolte Mexican Grill is under construction at the northeast corner of Rufe Snow Drive and Loop 820. An 85,000-square-foot Winco Foods supermarket is also under construction near this intersection. Winco Foods and Chipotle are now open!
Iron Horse Boulevard: Cambridge is a new 32.6 acres subdivision on Iron Horse Boulevard, east of Rufe Snow Drive. 137 homes will be included in this development, with Sandlin Homes as the primary builder.
Bridge Street: 10.9 acres in the 8700 block of Bridge Street, across from Walker Creek Elementary School, is being developed with 46 homes and 30 townhomes. David Weekley Homes will be the primary builder.
Parker Boulevard: 7.3 acres in the 6200 block of Parker Boulevard is being developed as the Villas at Hometown. This development will include 37 homes with Peyton Thomas Custom Homes as the primary builder.
Grand Avenue: Dolce Living Phase 1 is under construction at 6101 Grand Avenue. It includes a 159 unit apartment complex and 5,000 s.f. of retail space.
