Birth Certificates
Beginning May 1, 2015, the City Secretary's Office will no longer issue certified copies of birth and death records.  Members of the public may obtain certified copies of birth and death records at the county's Fort Worth location or at one of their many sub-courthouse locations. The closest being the Northeast Sub-Courthouse located at 645 Grapevine Highway, Hurst, TX 76054.

Obtaining Records
The Municipal Records Division of the City Secretary’s Office maintains vital statistics for all births that occur within the City of North Richland Hills. This office also serves as a remote birth certificate printing location for the State Bureau of Vital Statistics and can issue birth records for those persons who were born in the State of Texas from 1926 to present. A certified birth certificate may be obtained by the person of record or an immediate family member. Certified birth certificates can be issued immediately upon request.

The application for a birth certificate must be presented in person or sent in with proper photo identification and payment. Please submit completed applications to the Office of the City Secretary:

Alternatively, citizens may order a birth certificate online from the Texas Department of State Health Services.  

The fee for copies of birth records is $23 for each certified copy.
