Recently, some North Texas citizens have received phone calls from scammers telling them they must pay for an outstanding citation immediately using PayPal or a prepaid debit card or a warrant will be issued for their arrest. The scammers manipulate caller ID to make the number appear to come from local authorities. The North Richland Hills Municipal Court does not accept payments via PayPal or prepaid debt cards and will never call asking for payment of a citation in this manner.
