Signal Art Program - "Art on the Move" Challenge
The North Richland Hills Parks & Recreation Department and the Cultural Arts Division presents
a new challenge for residents involving the new Signal Art Program. By integrating art into daily
life, the program beautifies public areas, improves our quality of life and creates a distinctive
identity for our community. In an effort to further enhance the public art program, the Signal
Art Program was implemented in 2007-2008. The program commissioned artists to design 12 optional
artworks for traffic signal boxes throughout the City. Some of the various pieces include an astronaut,
a cowgirl jumping over the moon, and a homed toad with a little bit of Texas pride. So be on the look out,
you never know what you might find at the next NRH intersection.
