Mayor Trevino Receives TEAM Award
NTC Chairman Kenneth Barr, Mayor Oscar Trevino and NTC President Dan Petty
The North Texas Commission (NTC) presented its Transportation Excellence Award in Mobility (TEAM) to North Richland Hills Mayor Oscar Trevino on August 15, 2008. The award was presented by NTC Chairman and former Fort Worth Mayor Kenneth Barr during the 11th Annual Texas Transportation Summit held in Irving.
“Mayor Trevino has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to transportation for the entire North Texas region,” said Dan S. Petty, North Texas Commission President and CEO. “He tirelessly works to bring the region together towards a common goal of developing a superior transportation infrastructure.”
Mayor Trevino has served as the Mayor of the City of North Richland Hills since 2002. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and is president and owner of J.L. Steel, L.P., a heavy-highway contractor. Mayor Trevino serves as a leader on several transportation boards and committees and is an Executive Committee Member and Past Chair of the Tarrant Regional Transportation Coalition; Immediate Past Chair of the NCTCOG Regional Transportation Council; and Vice Chair of the National League of Cities Transportation Infrastructure and Services Steering Committee. He also serves on the Coalition for Better Transportation, Regional Transit Initiative Committee, Texas Transportation Institute Advisory Council and TEX-21 Committee, as well as serving on numerous other local, state and national committees.
