Companies in Action
Companies in Action is a fun-filled program offering local companies and business the opportunity to compete against
one another for awards and bragging rights. Participants will enjoy fun-spirited competition and the camaraderie of
teamwork. Each event will open new levels of communication between employees and increase employee morale and fitness.
No company is too large or too small to participate. Employees and their spouses are eligible to represent their company
in competition. Companies may enter as many as they want. The 2008 Companies in Action is being presented by HealthMarkets.

Think Green NRH Classes
North Richland Hills is offering exciting new environmental education sessions at the North Richland Hills
Recreation Center. The Think Green NRH sessions will introduce several different concepts of green living
that are easily implemented into your daily lives and are relevant to all ages. Sessions will be held once

Sounds of Spring Concert Series
Come celebrate another season of live music at the 2008 Sounds of Spring Concert Series. The Sounds of Spring
is held every Friday at 7 p.m. on the grounds of NRH2O starting April 4th through May
9th. The line up for the 2008 series includes The Texas Gypsies, Reality Bites, Songs of Sinatra
featuring David Hallum and his Big Band, He Wears Black, Petty Theft, and Brave Combo. A fireworks display
will follow the April 4th Texas Gypsies show and the May 9th Brave Combo show. For more

Fido Fest
Tails will be wagging at Fido Fest, a special day for dogs and their people hosted by the City of North Richland
Hills Parks & Recreation. Fido Fest will be held on Saturday, May 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Tipps
Canine Hollow Dog Park, located at 7804 Davis Blvd. Fido Fest will include plenty of fun for people and dogs of
all varieties. The event will feature pet vendors, entertainment, give-a-ways and contests. Contests will include:
biggest dog, smallest dog, best costume, longest tail, biggest feet, biggest ears, look a like and more! Each
contest will cost $1 to enter. All ages are welcome at Fido Fest and spectators are FREE! For more information,

Generation Next Art Exhibit
The City of North Richland Hills Cultural Art Division is proud to announce that the Generation Next Art Exhibit will be on display at the North Richland Hills Recreation Center upstairs in the Assembly Room from Friday, May 16 through Friday, May 23. The exhibit is comprised of works by Birdville Independent School District Advanced Placement High School Art Students and Art Faculty. An opening reception is scheduled for 4 p.m. on May 16.
