Companies in Action
Companies in Action is a series of events for companies and businesses to compete against one another for awards and bragging rights. There will be five individual events throughout the year, and companies can pick and choose events in which they would like to participate. Teams will be comprised of employees and their spouses from competing companies and businesses. "My Part of Town" Movie Nights
Join us for "My Part of Town" Family Movie Nights on June 12 and July 10. These family friendly evenings include free games and crafts beginning at 7:30 p.m. with the movie starting at dark. The Friday, June 12 movie night will be held at Kay Granger Park featuring Kung Fu Panda. The Friday, July 10 movie night will be held at Dick Faram Park and will feature Hotel For Dogs. Family 4th Fireworks Show
Celebrate our country's most patriotic holiday at the 5th Annual Quad Cities Family 4th Fireworks Show. The Cities of North Richland Hills, Haltom City, Richland Hills and the Quad Cities DFW Foundation are presenting this year's spectacular event, along with title sponsor Chesapeake Energy. The show will start at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4 and will include 20 minutes of dazzling and stunning pyrotechnics.
Summer Landscape Seminar
Don’t let the summer heat get you or your landscape down. Learn what plants will grow well in our hot Texas summers and become acquainted with water saving irrigation methods. Join Geoff Sherman, Landscape Horticulturalist/Certified Arborist, John Snowden of Bluestem Nursery in Arlington and other guest speakers on Saturday, July 18 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The class will be conducted at the NRH Public Library Community room, 9015 Grand Avenue. The class is free, but registration is requested by calling 817-427-6607 or visiting the NRH Recreation Center 6720 N.E. Loop 820.
Rec Expo & Open House
The NRH Recreation Center will host its annual Rec Expo & Open House from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 1. Join us for the registration kick-off of Fall 2009 programs offered through the NRH Recreation Center. Learn more about health and wellness programs, memberships, youth programs, and more! Wii Can Play at the Library
Whether you are an avid Wii player or you’ve just heard your grandchildren talking about it, come out to the North Richland Hills Public Library on Saturday, August 8 and play against your fellow patrons. Enjoy a game of bowling or join one of our tennis tournaments. Wii’ll begin the games at 11 a.m. and play until 4 p.m. Please call or drop by the Library after July 12 to register for the tennis tournament. You must be 12 or older to participate.
