Free Film Festival
After the hustle, bustle and expense of the holidays, enjoy an afternoon of FREE movies and FREE popcorn at your NRH Library! Join us in the Community Room each Saturday in January for recent film releases on our big screen. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and movies begin at 2:00 p.m. Families are invited to bring snacks, drinks, and floor cushions. The first film in the series will be Iron Man, on Saturday January 3. For the rest of the movie titles or other information, call 817-427-6814. The library is located at 9015 Grand Avenue.
Community Health Fair
The NRH Recreation Center and North Hills Chiropractic Health Center will present their 2nd annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, January 17 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Recreation Center, 6720 NE Loop 820. This free event will feature a variety of health screenings, chair massage, group exercise classes, a KidZone and more. For more details, please call 817-427-6600.
Parenting Workshop
The NRH Parks & Recreation Department will partner with the Birdville Council of PTA's to present the 9th annual Parenting Solutions Workshop. The workshop will be held on Saturday, January 24, at the Recreation Center, 6720 NE Loop 820, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This FREE workshop provides a variety of parenting topics that participants can choose to attend. Childcare is provided for ages 1-10, with limited space available. Advance registration is required. For more information, please call 817-427-6600.
Daddy/Daughter Valentine Dance
Join us on February 7 for an evening of dancing, refreshments, photographs, limo rides and more. Ages 3-7 are invited from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Ages 8-16 are invited from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The dance will be held at the BISD Fine Arts Complex, 9200 Mid-Cities Blvd, with a live DJ and photographs will be available for purchase.
