Chief Tucker began his career with the City of North Richland Hills Fire Department on October 15, 2007. He served as a Firefighter/Paramedic until May 2013, when he promoted to Driver Engineer. In April 2018, he advanced to Captain. He promoted to Battalion Chief in March of 2020 and currently is assigned to the Operations Division as Shift Commander on B shift. Chief Tucker has a Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs and Community Service from the University of North Texas in Denton. He has an Associate’s degree in Fire Protection from Tarrant County College. He is a Paramedic and holds the following Texas Commission on Fire Protection certifications:

- Driver/ Operator- Pumper

Chief Tucker currently serves as the Northeast Fire Department Association Hazardous Materials Team Coordinator and is the department’s instructor in vehicle rescue.
