Acceptable Garbage

Republic Waste Services provides  twice a week "take all" service for acceptable residential garbage collection from customer-provided permanent or temporary containers (bags). Take all simply means they will collect almost all items placed on the curb as long as it is not deemed Unacceptable Waste or Unusual Accumulation. No container or bag shall exceed 50 pounds in weight.

Stockade type fence panels must be cut into 4-by-6-foot sections or smaller. Loose pickets or slats must be tied and bundled.

Please follow these procedures for disposing of needles and syringes.

Dirt, concrete, rocks, bricks, and roofing shingles are not accepted. These items may be taken directly to the landfill.

Tires may not be deposited into the landfill, which prevents Republic from collecting them curbside. They may be taken to the landfill for a fee, where they are then disposed of in the correct manner.

Bulky Items

Bulky items such as refrigerators that have CFC's removed by certified technician, freezers, stoves and ranges, furniture, water heaters, washers, dryers, dishwashers, swing sets, bicycles (without tires) may be placed  on the curb on your normal collection days.

Hazardous Items

Please read about disposing of hazardous waste.
