Effective February 1, 2022, each North Richland Hills household gets one free entry into the landfill per month. A voucher must be presented to the landfill attendant along with your driver's license. Vouchers may be obtained online or at the Water Department at City Hall, 4301 City Point Drive. You will need the account number from your NRH Water Bill to complete the online form. If you have questions, need help printing a voucher, or if the voucher system is not working properly, please call the Water Department for assistance at 817-427-6200 during normal business hours (Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
Please note there may be a state mandated fee for some items, such as tires. Such mandated fees are not waived with your free landfill entry voucher. See landfill rates for these charges.
Rules:
- Must print and present original voucher. Photo copies and electronic copies will not be accepted;
- Loads are restricted to a standard pickup truck bed with no side boards or a standard trailer 8 feet in length or less;
- All loads must be secured and covered;
- There is a fee for special items such as tires. See landfill rates for these charges.
- No contractors;
- No roofing materials;
- No household hazardous waste;
- No lead acid batteries, used oil filters, liquids, pesticides, CFC, PCB, regulated hazardous waste;
- Children must remain in vehicle;
- Voucher can be used for only one visit; not for multiple visits in same day.
Landfill Hours:
The landfill hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The facility is closed in observance of New Year's Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Landfill Rates:
Residents may make additional trips to the landfill for a fee. Please review the landfill rates. A utility bill and driver's license is required as proof of residency.
