The City Secretary's Office receives applications from citizens interested in contributing to their community by volunteering to serve on a board or commission. The various boards and commissions act as advisory boards to the Council; in some instances, they are the final body for action.
Membership
Appointments to boards and commissions are made annually in June and July, and the terms coincide with the Council member who made the appointment. Places 1, 3, 5, and 7 expire in odd-number years, and Places 2, 4, 6, and Mayor appointments expire in even-numbered years unless otherwise noted by ordinance.
Application
If you are interested in being part of our team, please complete an application and return it to the City Secretary's Office at P.O. Box 820609, North Richland Hills, Texas 76182-0609. You may also fax your application to 817-427-6016 or send it via e-mail. Applications are kept on file for one year from the date of receipt.
Applications are forwarded to City Council members whose appointments are to expire in June or as vacancies occur during the year. If you would like to be notified of vacancies or annual appointments, please subscribe to our notification list.
