Jump Start Your Garden School GrantKNRHB at Foster Village Carnival

Keep NRH Beautiful is offering three $500 grants to North Richland Hills schools to jump-start your gardens and flowerbeds this coming school year! The grants are available to public, private, and charter schools or PTA organizations in NRH. Applications are due by Friday, October 13, 2023, and must include a detailed plan of what will be planted with a timeline for when the planting will occur. Projects must be completed by Friday, April 26, 2024.

We encourage you to use plants that are native to our region as you design your project. View a list of plants native to North Central Texas.

Keep NRH Beautiful Scholarship

The Keep NRH Beautiful Scholarship recognizes three outstanding youth in the community who have taken a leadership role in keeping NRH a clean, vibrant, and environmentally friendly community and plan to continue those efforts beyond their high school years. 2024 Keep NRH Beautiful Scholarship applications are due April 5, 2024.

Keep NRH Beautiful in Schools

One of the goals of KNRHB is to partner with schools to provide fun environmental education opportunities to students in the community. Keep NRH Beautiful is available to give presentations to classes on topics such as composting, recycling, Texas SmartScape, water conservation, and household hazardous waste.

We are also available to provide a KNRHB booth at school carnivals and festivals. KNRHB will offer an activity students can complete at the booth and will provide educational giveaways such as coloring books, activity pages, stickers, etc.
