Programs for Schools

After taking a hiatus last school year during COVID-19, the Keep NRH Beautiful Commission is excited to announce that both the Environmental Education Grant Program and the Green Campus Awards Program are both returning for the 2021-2022 school year! Read below for more information about each program and to print the applications. Applications are due October 29, 2021.

Environmental Education Grants

Keep NRH Beautiful annually provides an opportunity for schools to apply for grant funding for projects that will make a positive contribution to beautification and environmental education in North Richland Hills public schools. To apply for an Environmental Education Grant, please click here.

Green Campus

This program is designed to reward schools that already provide environmental education programs and to encourage others to participate. It serves to educate and motivate both students and faculty towards positive attitudes and behavior concerning solid waste disposal, and to instill in them a sense of personal pride and appreciation for the beautification of school property. Application to become a Green Campus must be done yearly. This school year, the program will run September - May. Qualifying applicants will receive a monetary award to be used for future beautification projects and also a sign to be displayed on their campus. To apply to be a Green Campus, please click here.
