explore NRH Armadillo sculpture

Have you seen this image on billboards around town or on social media? Our Explore North Richland Hills campaign features some of the fabulous art, exciting places and unique experiences found in our great city! You can visit the Armadillo sculpture in person on the Bedford-Euless Road Greenway, near the corner of Bedford-Euless Road and Colorado Boulevard. Based on the idea that everything in Texas is “larger than life,” the 9-foot long, 5-foot tall and 5-foot wide sculpture made of welded, recycled steel was created by artist Joe Barrington. The Armadillo is one of 18 artworks in our permanent collection located in parks and public buildings throughout the city. Visit our Art in Public Spaces web page to learn more about the art on display in NRH.

Whether you are a longtime resident, new to the community or just visiting, we invite you to learn more about North Richland Hills and enjoy all our community has to offer! Check back monthly to see what the Explore North Richland Hills campaign features next.
