James Brown

Chief Brown has been with the City of North Richland Hills since August 3, 1987 and is currently assigned to the Fire Administration as the EMS Coordinator. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Management Administration from West Texas A&M University and an Associates Degree in Fire Technology from Tarrant County College. He is a Licensed Paramedic and holds the following Texas Commission on Fire Protection certifications:

  • Fire Officer I, II, III, IV
  • Driver/Operator-Pumper
  • Hazardous Materials Technician

Chief Brown is a graduate of Fire Service Chief Executive Officer. He has been the North East Fire Department Association's Hazardous Materials Team Coordinator since 2000. Chief Brown was Officer of the Year in 2003 and 2007, and received the Medical Director’s Award in 2005.
