Racial Profiling Complaint Process

Any person who believes that a North Richland Hills police officer has engaged in racial profiling with respect to that person may file a complaint with the department. Investigations of complaints will be conducted in a thorough and timely manner. All complaints received will be acknowledged in writing to the complainant by the supervisor conducting the investigation. The supervisor will also inform the complainant in writing of the conclusion and disposition of the investigation.

The complainant will be asked to provide in writing the:
  • time
  • date
  • location
  • identification or description of the officer(s) involved
  • details of the incident of alleged racial profiling
The complainant must also provide an address and/or phone for follow-up investigation and return notification.
