16 Years of Age & Under
According to State Law, persons 16 years of age or younger MUST appear in person with a parent or legal guardian before the Municipal Court Judge. PLEASE DO NOT MAIL YOUR FINE PAYMENT; payment cannot be accepted prior to the court appearance. The Judge is available on Wednesdays by set docket appointments. Please contact the Municipal Court for information on how to schedule appearance.
Alcohol / Tobacco Offenses
All persons charged with alcohol or tobacco violations, age 21 and under, MUST appear before the Municipal Court Judge. Minors who are under the age of 18, charged with alcohol or tobacco violations must appear with a parent or legal guardian. The North Richland Hills Municipal Court Judge is available on Wednesdays by set docket appointments. Please contact the Municipal Court for information on how to schedule appearance.
Northeast Tarrant Teen Court
North Richland Hills, Haltom City, Watauga and Richland Hills have partnered together to create the Northeast Tarrant Teen Court as an alternative to the traditional justice system. Available to teenagers who receive Class C tickets, Teen Court allows youths the opportunity to avoid paying the associated fines and having the offense on their record by successfully completing community service based sentences and terms determined by a jury of their peers.
