Who We Are

Chartered in 1996, the CPAAA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization. This organization is comprised of a Board of Directors and over 50 active members who support and acknowledge the North Richland Hills Police Department employees and their families.

Our various fund-raising activities each year help sponsor the following annual events:
  • Hangin' with the Heat summer camp
  • Heroes and Helpers
  • Family Christmas Party
  • Employee recognitions
  • Holiday meals
  • BBQ lunch
Additionally, the "Ida Black Scholarship Award" was created in 2013 to assist the children of NRH police department employees who plan to or are currently attending college. This award was named in honor of the CPAAA's inaugural member, Ms. Ida Black.

Fund-Raising

Our primary source of funding is obtained from the annual $20 membership dues. Additional fund-raising activities include garage sales, popcorn sales, the Northeast Recycling days, and the Kroger and Tom Thumb Community Reward programs.

Our Purpose

"To improve relations between the North Richland Hills Police Department and the civilian community in all phases of law enforcement." We are a group of citizen volunteers who want to show our police department that we care about its employees and their families.
