Adoption Special
We are currently waiving all adoption fees for cats and dogs. The Adoption Special includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccination, microchip, city registration, core vaccinations and dewormer.
About Us
North Richland Hills Animal Services is a division of the City of North Richland Hills Neighborhood Services Department. Animal Services works to help protect the health, safety and welfare of both people and animals in the community and operates the city's Animal Adoption & Rescue Center (AARC).
Goal
Our goal is to provide services to the public promptly and with professional precision tempered with compassion for those animals that cannot speak for themselves. Our staff has been recognized both at the state and national level for outstanding excellence in both programs and performance of duties.
Responsibilities
- Enforce city ordinances
- Provide a safe haven for pets that are unwanted or lost in North Richland Hills
- Reduce pet overpopulation
- Return lost pets to their homes
- Provide information and resources for urban wildlife
- Re-home pets into loving, permanent homes

Animal Services officers respond to field-related calls Monday - Saturday from 7AM - 6PM, and animal-related emergencies after-hours and all day on Sundays.
If you have found a lost pet after hours, please leave a message at 817-427-6570 and we will return your call the following morning.
To report an after-hours, animal-related emergency, contact the non-emergency Police dispatch line at 817-281-1000. For life-threatening situations, please call 911.
