Neighborhood Eyes Program

To continue our efforts to work in partnership with the community and to enhance crime prevention efforts, the North Richland Hills Police Department is seeking the assistance of North Richland Hills business owners and residents who have security camera systems.

Many City of North Richland Hills business owners and residents currently operate security video systems at their businesses and/or homes. As crimes occur nearby, they are not always aware that their system may have captured information that could help solve the crime. Likewise, the police are also not always aware who may have this potentially vital information. Through the Neighborhood Eyes program, detectives could instantly know where registered participants have camera systems that may aid in an investigation. Many cities throughout the United States participate in similar programs.

Voluntary Participation

If you have video security cameras, the North Richland Hills Police Department is encouraging you to register the location and capabilities of your camera with us. This is a VOLUNTARY registry – the police department will NOT proactively take control of, access, or use your cameras. In the event that your location has security video recordings helpful to the police department in an investigation, our Officers or Detectives will contact you for assistance.

To participate in the Neighborhood Eyes program, register your surveillance camera system online. For more information, contact Community Services at 817-427-7021.
