About the Park
Stormy Plaza is a 1.2-acre urban park plaza built in 2010 and named for James Harold "Stormy" Mangham, owner of Mangham Airport, which once operated just west of the plaza. The park provides a gathering space and open space, along with benches and a walking trail.
The centerpiece of the plaza is Weather, a 20-foot steel and glass sculpture by artist Barbara Grygutis. The sculpture invokes thoughts and feelings associated with the variety of weather patterns of the region and the influence they exert on our daily lives.
