    Animal Adoption & Rescue Center

    The NRH Animal Adoption & Rescue Center is participating in the annual Clear the Shelters campaign. To encourage adoptions and help more pets find new homes, all pet adoption fees will be waived from Aug. 23 through Sept. 18.

  1. Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting

    City Council Chamber, 3rd floor of City Hall

    The North Richland Hills Planning & Zoning Commission holds regular meetings at 7 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month in the City Council Chamber at City Hall. A work session may be held prior to the start of the regular meeting.

  1. Citizens Police Academy

    City Hall, Community Room, first floor

    During this 12 week course, participants will learn about patrol procedures, dispatch operations, SWAT operations and crime scene search, as well as many other law enforcement subjects. CPA is open to NRH residents and those who work in North Richland Hills. There is no cost to participate, but space is limited and advanced registration is required.   2. Citizens Fire Academy

    NRH Public Safety Training Center

    Join the Citizens Fire Academy (CFA) and learn how NRH Fire-Rescue prepares for life threatening emergencies. This program is designed for people who have a genuine desire to learn about the daily life of firefighters, want to increase their fire and life safety awareness, and wish to widen their knowledge of the services provided by the Fire Department. Any one who is at least 19 years old, lives or works in North Richland Hills, and has never been arrested or charged with a crime may apply. There is no cost to participate, but space is limited.
